Dr. Cynthia Teniente-Matson became President of San Jos茅 State University in January 2023. She leads California鈥檚 first public university and the founding campus of the California State University system, located in the heart of Silicon Valley. As the first Latina president in the university鈥檚 history, President Teniente-Matson is guiding mini传媒 forward with a focus on student success, inclusive excellence, and community impact. She is committed to expanding opportunity and ensuring that all students can benefit from the life-changing power of an mini传媒 education.

San Jos茅 State offers many opportunities for experiential learning, community engagement, and undergraduate research as part of a growing research portfolio, all while leveraging our geography to make a positive impact on our region, in California and in our world.
