A First-Time, First-Year (FTFY) applicant (formerly known as a freshman) is a student
who has graduated from (or is still attending) high school and has not enrolled in
a regular (non-summer) term at any college or university after graduating. To connect
with a pre-admissions counselor or take a campus tour, visit the Student Outreach
and Recruitment office at sjsu.edu/SOAR.
Check application and document deadlines, as well as deadlines for completing academic
requirements, applying for financial aid, and submitting an application to live in
