COACHE is a national faculty survey administered by the Harvard Graduate School of Education. It is used by hundreds of colleges and universities to assess key dimensions of faculty work life: teaching, research, service, mentoring, leadership, shared governance, and institutional climate. Participation allows mini传媒 to compare our faculty experiences with those at peer and aspirational institutions, while still centering local context and priorities.
At mini传媒, COACHE is grounded in our commitment to shared governance, institutional excellence, and continuous improvement. The survey provides faculty with a structured opportunity to share perspectives on what is working well and where improvement is needed. These insights help inform campus dialogue, planning, and decision-making.
mini传媒 first administered COACHE in 2019, and the current administration builds on that foundation. Engaging in COACHE affirms that faculty voices at mini传媒 are essential to advancing our mission as California鈥檚 founding public university. The COACHE survey is a tool that supports thoughtful, collaborative efforts to improve faculty work life and institutional effectiveness.
