Environmental Health and Safety, a department of the division of Facilities Development and Operations is charged with maintaining workplace, classroom and laboratory safety for all mini´«Ã½ students and employees. As summertime temperatures ramp up, EHS urges everyone to be aware of and respond to signs of heat-related illnesses. Limit your time spent outdoors, drink plenty of water and avoid the hottest time of the day from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. if you can avoid it. Persons sensitive to higher temperatures are at greater risk for illnesses like heatstroke and should note the symptoms.
